This day, nature and animals are high on the agenda. We start the day with a visit to the zoo Hellabrunn. It is the oldest zoo in the whole of Munich, which offers numerous native and exotic species. A special attraction is the newly constructed jungle house that offers accommodation to numerous species of monkeys and other jungle animals. Also worth seeing is the big aquarium in the zoo Hellabrunn, where visitors can observe, among other things, the daily feeding of the piranhas.
Those who prefer a little more original and wider area in which the animals are housed more natural should instead visit the "Wildpark Poing". The huge is area just outside of Munich and differs from Hellabrunn because there arealmost exclusively domestic or European animals housed, especially current and former pets of humans and all forms of wildlife. The ideal destination for all who think the animals are crammed into a conventional zoo and therefore have no welfare ratios.
But the flora can inspire, too! Therefore, our next stop is the Botanical Garden, where you can admire the exotic plants from around the world, for example in the new Palm House. Many other theme houses each show off its own vegetation, which not only impress the designated nature lovers.
Still not enough of flora and fauna? Then there is a trip to the deer garden on the plan, a delightful combination of zoo - with a large population of roe and deer - and beer garden comfort. Here you can leave all one's cares behind after a relaxing day with animals and nature with Bavarian delicacies of all kinds.
With the exception of the wildlife park ("Wildpark"), all of these locations can be visited even in bad weather - and if it gets too bad, we take cover for some time or visit one of the many cafes that are present in all the places mentioned here. Fewer optimistic visitors, however antedate the third day and replace the second by it.
